Call me Cae. I tell stories that sit at the intersection of trauma, identity, and reluctant hope. I specialize in dialogue-driven fiction that leans into flawed characters, painful pasts, and slow-burn redemption arcs, all told with wit and grace.

In my work, I don’t shy away from discomfort; I use it as a tool for empathy. My voice may be unflinching, but my aim is always connection. I write for the people who need to hear, “You don’t have to be whole to be worthy.”

Told in immersive, dialogue-driven prose with no chapter breaks, Gilded Helix stories flow like memory. They're a genre-blurring mix of upmarket speculative fiction set in a post-rebuild dystopia and new adult heart, with themes of found family and morally gray redemption, meditating on hope and the beauty of embracing our brokenness. It’s a world where trauma is never the villain and love comes in many forms.
Storylines
Kintsugi Soul
Originally intended for traditional publication, Kintsugi Soul was my first completed storyline. After careful consideration of the current publishing landscape, I realized what I wanted most was to let people read my words.

The story follows Donovan, a graduate student whose motto is simple: work hard, party harder, and never look too closely at the fractures within.

Kintsugi Soul is a journey of recovery, where healing begins with confronting the broken pieces of ourselves — and learning to love the cracks.

This storyline currently encompasses two completed novels, with plans for a future release.
Striped Veins
Colla has always felt like an outsider, weighed down by a world that never quite saw her. But when a hiking accident leaves her wounded, she wakes in a hidden sanctuary and comes face-to-face with another people fighting to reclaim their stolen humanity.

Among them, the scars of the past run deep, both seen and unseen. As Colla grapples with her own doubts and the unshakable feeling that she doesn't belong, she must decide whether to fight the ties binding her to the strange, fierce family that claims her… or embrace the stripes she's been given.
